Our focus is on providing location-based businesses with an easy and effective way to create and control whatever vibe they want to convey within their space.
In fact, we were founded out of our CEO Brent Oakley’s need to do just that. In 2016 Oakley was the CEO of Prime Car Wash, and he struggled to find a way to efficiently market to his customers once they were on-site. Recognizing that signage and displays competed against cell phones and computers for the attention of customer eyes, Oakley turned his focus to audio.
Music has always been important to Oakley, and he long-ago realized the impact it has on creating a desired vibe within a business. What, then, would be the effect of pairing carefully crafted music playlists with audio announcements?
After searching for an agile music and messaging system, Oakley saw an opportunity to create a software-as-a-service platform and partnered with technology expert Nathan Miller. The pair then consulted with some of the radio industry’s top talent, and a SaaS-based platform built off of a network of professional voice talent was soon developed.
Vibenomics’ Proof of Concept was introduced in June 2016 at the grand opening celebration of a Prime location, and the on-site music and messaging system was a resounding success.
Scott McCorkle, an Executive in Residence with venture studio High Alpha and previous CEO of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, soon signed on as Vibenomics’ Executive Chairman, and in March 2017, Vibenomics officially launched its on-site music and messaging platform.
Vibenomics completed a $3.52M seed funding round in June 2017, in part thanks to early product adoption across industries including retail, restaurant, fitness, family fun centers and automotive.
